Students from Kansas City Virtual Academy got an up-close look at Kansas City's Improve I-70 construction site, where they learned directly from industry professionals about the work that goes into building roads designed to last for decades.
They also explored the wide range of careers that make major infrastructure projects possible, from the skilled trades to engineering, project management and beyond. Whether students ultimately pursue careers in the trades or choose a different path, it's important they have opportunities to see what's possible.
We're grateful to the KCVA staff and industry partners who helped make this experience happen!

There, the Scholar Superstars, Terrific Teammates, and Outstanding Administrators nominated by the KCPS community will receive their well-earned superintendent recognitions. Winners of the "Si Se Puede" student art contest will also be recognized!
