What a special experience for our Seal of Biliteracy students! 🎭✨
The group, accompanied by their sponsor, Mrs. Truax, had the opportunity to attend the musical Come From Away after receiving an invitation from the Kansas City Repertory Theatre.
For all of our students, this was their first time attending a musical, making the experience even more memorable! The story of Gander, Newfoundland, Canada, and the community’s response following the events of 9/11 connected beautifully with lessons the students have been learning in class.
We are so grateful for opportunities like this that bring classroom learning to life and expose our students to new cultural experiences! ❤️🎭🌎
